BMW enthusiasts with a taste for high-quality premium audio, look no further. The company is introducing a limited-run 2015 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe Bang & Olufsen special edition, featuring a distinctively designed and uniquely badged interior with a 16-speaker premium audio system.
The 2015 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe Bang & Olufsen edition will be offered in both BMW 650i and M6 flavors. One hundred examples of the 445-hp, 4.4-liter turbocharged V-8 BMW 650i Gran Coupe Bang & Olufsen vehicles will go into production with either rear- or all-wheel drive, while just ten BMW M6 Gran Coupe models will be built in special-edition trim. All 2015 BMW M6 Gran Coupe Bang & Olufsen models will come equipped with the Competition Package as standard, increasing output from the M6’s 4.4-liter turbo V-8 from 560 to the 575 hp. Buyers will be able to balance the sweet sound of the BMW V-8 with the clarity of Bang & Olufsen’s 1200-watt sound system, thumping through 16 brushed black aluminum-finished speakers.
Visually, the 2015 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe Bang & Olufsen special edition takes a tasteful and classic approach to the already sumptuous and elegant BMW 6-Series interior. On the exterior customers can choose from either Brilliant White Metallic or Dark Graphite II Metallic, with both Black and Opal White & Black interior. The Merino leather interior is fitted with contrast stitching and piping, which matches the specially-badged floor mates and piano black-trimmed cupholder lid bearing the Bang & Olufsen name. M6 editions also receive the M logo embroidered into the front headrests.
2015 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe special edition models come nicely equipped with various additional packages. 650i models receive the Cold Weather, M Sport, Executive, LED lighting, and Driver Assistance Plus packages, while M6 models receive the aforementioned Competition Package as well as the Executive and Driver Assistance Plus packages.
Unsurprisingly, the 2015 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe Bang & Olufsen special edition is not for the light-of-wallet. Including destination fees, the rear-drive BMW 650i starts at $116,240 and the all-wheel-drive 650i xDrive costs $119,240, while the M6 Gran Coupe is $152,423. BMW is currently accepting orders for all special-edition variants, with deliveries slotted for this summer.
