This means that these 10 SRT Viper Anodized Carbon TA models will be equipped with the Viper Time Attack’s specially tuned chassis and aerodynamic upgrades. This package includes two-mode Bilstein dampers, a front splitter, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, solid sway bars, Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, lightweight Sidewinder wheels, and Brembo brake rotors from the Viper ACR-X race car. Other design elements from the standard Anodized Carbon edition are maintained, such as the special exterior paint and the Alcantara-trimmed interior with orange stitching.
We recently drove the 2014 SRT Viper TA at Willow Springs Raceway in California, and found the car’s performance upgrades to make a big difference out on the track. While the TA does not produce any more power than the Viper GTS model’s 640 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque, the Viper TA’s aerodynamic and chassis upgrades made for a much more stable, grippy, and far less terrifying experience than the standard Viper and Viper GTS when pushed to its limits.
Although SRT has not yet released pricing for the Viper Anodized Carbon Edition with the Time Attack package, it’s safe to assume that this exclusive model will be the most expensive SRT Viper in the lineup. The Time Attack package adds $16,000 to the standard SRT Viper, and the Anodized Carbon special edition costs $13,900 atop the Viper GTS's $124,990 sticker, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see a price over $150,000 for the SRT Viper Anodized Carbon Time Attack when these 10 special models go on sale later this year.
