Now that nearly all of the official information about the new 2015 Ford Mustang has been disseminated, get ready for a whole new round of Mustang fever from tuners eager to get their hands on the redesigned pony car. Of course famed Mustang tuner Saleen is among the first to join in on the fun, and the company issued a teaser photo for its newest creation, the 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang.
We don’t know much about this new modified Mustang, but the 302 in the name suggests that it will be based on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT and its 5.0-liter (302 cu in) V-8 engine. The current Saleen 302 Mustang is offered in two levels of tune: either with an upgraded 440-hp tune of the 5.0L V-8, or with a supercharged version of the same V-8 making 625 hp, so expect upgrades within this range for the 2015 Saleen Mustang.
From the looks of this teaser image, the 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang will also feature some significant visual improvements to amp up the look of the Mustang. The front end takes on a more aggressive stance, with a blacked-out front fascia; a wider, slatted front grille with the Saleen logo offset to the right; and a mean-looking hood with a large, presumably functional air scoop in the middle. Expect other visual upgrades like bigger wheels and a rear spoiler to complete the look, along with a possible graphics package like on other Saleen models.
Look for the 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang to debut within the next few months, as Saleen is already taking orders for this modified muscle car.
