Audi RS 7 Dynamic Edition Bows at New York Auto Show

For that extra bit of panache on your Audi RS 7, look no further than the Audi RS 7 Dynamic Edition. Debuting at the 2014 New York auto show, the Audi RS 7 Dynamic Edition features all of the RS 7’s burly performance swagger, plus top-trim materials and customization options. The special-edition car arrives in Audi dealerships this summer.
The Audi RS 7 Dynamic Edition is mechanically identical to the standard 560-hp, 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 Audi RS 7, except that the package includes the optional Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) suspension and sport exhaust. Using three-stage adjustable dampers cross-linked diagonally across the platform, DRC interacts with the RS 7’s rear differential and selectable driving mode system for a customizable ride-and-handling balance ranging from comfort to sport.
Numerous visual and weight-reducing upgrades are also part of the Audi RS 7 Dynamic Edition, beginning with its lightweight carbon-fiber front splitter, diffuser, and engine cover. Other exterior changes include 21-inch Gloss Black wheels with Tornado Red brake calipers. Audi will offer Ibis White, Suzuka Gray metallic, Daytona Gray pearl, and Phantom black pearl exterior paint choices.
The interior trim gets a heavy sport treatment, featuring carbon fiber inlays throughout the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Black Valcona leather seats with red honeycomb stitching match the safety belts, dashboard, shifter boot, armrests, and center console with the same RS-themed detailing.
At $146,025 including destination, the Audi RS7 Dynamic Edition seems exorbitantly priced, even for a super-luxury sedan that can sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds. We did name the 2014 Audi RS 7 one of our 2014 Automobile Magazine All-Stars, but even our fully-loaded test car topped out at $122,545 compared to the base model’s $105,795 starting price -- a far cry from what you'll pay for the Dynamic Edition.
